Emma Stone’s Red Carpet Skin Prep Included Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
While awards season honors the talented cast and crew of movies and television shows we enjoyed throughout the past year, what really captures my attention are the fashion and beauty choices worn by celebs on the red carpet.
Emma Stone’s racked up multiple wins so far this year, and her awards show style has been equally impressive — and one I’ve kept an eye on. I believe her timeless red carpet makeup deserves its own recognition. And I got the inside scoop that her most recent look at the Critics’ Choice Awards was prepped using one of my all-time favorite moisturizers: Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Face Cream.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Face Moisturizer
I’ve relied on the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream for over a year now, so it was no surprise that it was used as the base under Emma Stone’s flawless Critics’ Choice Awards look. The anti-aging formula features hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture, plump skin, and reduce fine lines for a glowing complexion. Based on my own experience with the cream, it masters all three. Other ingredients include peptides to increase collagen, vitamin C to brighten your complexion, and shea butter to soften the skin.
While I’m also a fan of the brand’s water gel cream, I always reach for the version used on Emma Stone when my skin feels dull and dry from harsh winter weather. It never fails to be the perfect pick-me-up to prep my skin before makeup (which often becomes incredibly flaky without the proper skincare underneath). And although it is deeply nourishing, it doesn’t feel goopy under makeup, so I don’t have to worry that it’ll slide out of place throughout the day.

One 69-year-old shopper says the cream lives up to its name, noting that they wished they “discovered it sooner.” Another reviewer said their skin is “immediately moisturized without feeling sticky or overly dewy,” making it ideal for layering under face makeup. A third person saw an improvement in their fine lines thanks to the formula that “feels like pure silk.”
According to the brand, even more Charlotte Tilbury products were used to complete Stone’s glowing, natural look, including the Magic Hydrator Mist (another one of my favorite skincare saviors), the Beautiful Skin Foundation in 1W, the Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer in 1, the Hollywood Contour Wand in light/medium, and the Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Mascara, my current go-to mascara that doesn’t clump.
